We are looking for a Waste management professional with a solid experience in hazardous waste, background in chemistry and great working knowledge of ADR and UK Waste regulations to join a team looking after a cluster of pharma sites in South East England. This role involves local travel to visit sites, but as the main site is Stevenage, it would be best for you to be located in a commutable distance from it.

About the job

You would provide oversight to ensure the safe and compliant delivery of Hazardous Waste Management services across all sites in your remit.
You would plan and organise waste shipments and complete and maintain all associated records and reports.
You would provide technical advice on waste classification, packaging and disposal activities.
You would ensure legislative as well as Health & Safety compliance of services in your remit.

About you

Proven track record in Waste Management operations with demonstrable experience in hazardous waste; bonus points for pharmaceutical background
Solid knowledge of ADR and UK Waste regulations.
Chemistry degree or equivalent
IT literate
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Appetite for learning
Experience operating in outsourced service environment and experience in auditing waste operations and facilities - desirable

Salary on offer - up to £39,000 dependent on experience.
