Job Role: Superintendent Pharmacist

Location: Based in Rightdose Hub, 1a Devon Place, Glasgow, G41 1RD but covering and visiting stores when required.

Hours: 40hours, M-F 9-6pm

Salary: 50-60k

Job Description:

We are looking for a Superintendent Pharmacist to join our team. As our current SP moves into a new position of Chief Operations Officer, we have this fantastic opportunity arise. The Company as it currently stands is comprised of 6 Pharmacies and a Pouch Service Hub. Each Pharmacy is well staffed and run by experienced managers.

The Superintendent Pharmacist would responsible for:

· All duties and legal responsibilities of a Superintendent Pharmacist.

o SOPS

o Implementing changes, procedures and training

o Responding and dealing with all Near Miss reviews

o Responding and dealing with all dispensing errors

o Responding and dealing with all complaints that fall within the SP scope

o Ensuring that all materials created by the Company comply with all the legal and best practise standards

o To investigate and scope all business plans from an SP perspective

o To review the rota, confirm locum compliance and emergency cover when required (The GPHC has dictated that the SP should also work as an RP to maintain their competence and experience)

o To scope all future changes in law and guidelines to present to management so we can utilise these changes for growth

o To review and confirm all training for each qualification is adequate and up to date

· That all locations work within the law, guidelines and standards as outlined by the GPHC, NHS and the government.

· To attend local NHS meetings and training events to scope and implement the changes or initiatives coming to pharmacy.

· To provide SP input into queries posed to the company from any 3rd party.

You would be based at our head office at Rightdose Hub, 1a Devon Place, Glasgow, G41 1RD. Here you would be working with a variety of team members to achieve your role and maintain the business standards and procedures. As the Company grows rapidly, the SP would be expected to grow and take on more responsibilities.

To aid you in your position the Company has the following:

· Pharmsmart subscriptions, all CD registers, Near Misses, Dispensing Errors and much more recorded electronically and available remotely

· BrightHR, all HR and staff related information recorded electronically with the support of a HR Manager

· Chief Operations Officer, to support you in any execution of law, procedure and more.

· Pharmacist Owners, to understand the Pharmacist perspective and to aid any changes or investments that are required.

As you can see, you will be supported by a comprehensive and experienced team. This should allow you to confidently be a Superintendent and maintain all the expectations highlighted above.

Salary: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
