One of our Top pharmacy clients in Western Saskatchewan is looking to hire a staff pharmacist to contribute to their growth. This position is with a leading national retail chain that has created a root in the local community through this pharmacy. The position would report to the Pharmacy Manager and offers up to $65-70/hr, annual bonus, 4 weeks’ vacation and additional perks.

The Pharmacist is expected to have strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations, to ensure that all functions are performed efficiently and on time. Candidates will be working a schedule of 8 hours per day 5 days a week (including weekends) adding up to 40 hours per week.

The Pharmacy hosts a strong team of experienced Pharmacists and a full complement of Pharmacy Technicians / Assistants. The candidate can expect a couple hours of Pharmacist overlap daily. The pharmacies experience between 80-120 prescriptions per day.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Pharmacist licensed in good standing with the SK College of Pharmacists, will be a quick learner, energetic and have a friendly personality to match the brand values of the company. Job Responsibilities

• Participating in dispensing of prescriptions, including computer entry, triage of new orders, collation of data and clinical reviews.

• Ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions dispensed

• Providing including pharmaceutical care, patient counseling, Med Reviews and Professional Opinions

• Assisting the Pharmacy Manager in training of new staff

• Providing supervision and leadership in the dispensary while on duty

• Checking prescriptions for proper dosage

• Acting as an advisor to all customers

• Maintaining medical profiles

• Coordinating clinical investigations

• Evaluating all labeling, packaging and advertising of drugs

Qualifications

• Must be licensed and in good standing with the BC College of Pharmacists, expected to adhere to the Standards of Practice with the BC College of Pharmacists

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy (B.Sc. Ph.M.)

• Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada certificate.

• Minimum 1 year Pharmacist experience

• Experience with a busy retail Pharmacy is an asset.
