We are recruiting to our established, friendly and dynamic clinical pharmacy team at Dorset County Hospital. We are looking for ambitious, highly motivated and dynamic pharmacists who want to develop their knowledge and skills and progress their career. You may be a current foundation trainee pharmacist, a newly qualified pharmacist or looking for a fresh challenge. As a close-knit department, we pride ourselves on looking after our team and our flexible working policy was implemented to reflect this.

Our Senior Pharmacists have experience and practice depth having worked across different practice sectors and in leading teaching hospitals UK wide. The successful candidate will be encouraged and supported to undertake the post-graduate Clinical Diploma and participate in both Clinical Audits and Quality Improvement Projects. We also encourage and support our pharmacists to undertake the Non-Medical Prescribing Programme, whether as part of or in addition to the Clinical Diploma. We also support our team to attend the Clinical Pharmacy Congress and other exciting events throughout the year.
Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust employs around 4,000 members of staff, who provide acute hospital services to a population of around 250,000, living within Weymouth and Portland, West Dorset, North Dorset and Purbeck. We also provide renal services for patients throughout Dorset and South Somerset. The purpose-built Pharmacy provides a clinical pharmacy service to the trust and local Community Hospitals. The dispensary benefits from an ARX BD robot installation, and a Prescription Tracking System. DCHFT was an early adopter of Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration in 2014.
