PCN Pharmacy Technician – Remote/Home Based – flexible/part time hours available

Our client is a forward thinking, progressive employer of pharmacists and technicians providing clinical services to GP practices, primary care networks and federations.
They work with customers to use the unique skill set of Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to improve health outcomes for patients. They have developed and managed projects looking at medicines management and medicines optimisation.
As a Remotely Based Pharmacy Technician you will:
- Support the PCN Clinical Pharmacists in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services.
- Perform medicines improvement work to maximise safe, cost-effective best practice in prescribing under the supervision of the GP or Clinical Pharmacist.
- Assist with medication safety monitoring systems (e.g. high-risk drugs)
- Liaise with clinicians and administrative staff to resolve medicine-related queries
- Monitor practice prescribing and adherence to practice, local and national prescribing policies
- Support PCN Clinical Pharmacists to ensure drug monitoring recommendations are followed for acute and repeat medication
Development support and mentorship will be provided by their Senior Management Team.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences
- Experience of working as a qualified, registered pharmacy technician in primary care, or in hospital or community pharmacy at a senior level
- Ability to work in team or on own
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Good communications skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Sound computer skills, proficient with MS Office
