We have an exciting opportunity for a clinical pharmacist to join our friendly, supportive clinical pharmacy team. We are looking to recruit a highly professional, flexible and motivated clinical pharmacist who is looking for a post that allows flexibility with working hours. Our clinical pharmacists provide ward based service and have opportunities to develop clinical skills within our rotations in different areas of inpatient specialities including cardiology, acute medicine, respiratory, orthopaedics, and paediatrics.

To provide a high level of specialist pharmacy services to one or more of the specialist service areas listed below, working closely with other pharmacists, medical/ nursing staff and senior technicians /ward technicians.
Posts that are non-rotational will be speciality based as per the advertised role therefore general aspects and appropriate specialty aspects will apply.
To provide a high level of clinical pharmacy care to patients on allocated wards, to support the medical, nursing and other healthcare staff providing clinical care in the specialty areas, and to assist in the clinical and cost-effective use of drugs.
To assist the lead or Principal pharmacist in the management and delivery of their specialist pharmacy service and/or to manage the delivery of an element of service in a specialist area of practice.
To contribute to the strategic development and business plan of pharmacy services for the specialist area.
To assist with education and training for medical, nursing and pharmacy staff, both undergraduate and postgraduate, including supervising designated junior pharmacists, Pre-Registration pharmacists, technicians and (senior) assistants.
To contribute to the provision of routine clinical Pharmacy services to other areas of the Trust, and to undertake routine department based duties when rostered including the Dispensary.
