Registered Pharmacy Technician
Our Infusion Pharmacy team is seeking Registered Pharmacy Technicians who are motivated to learn and advance their career in pharmacy! We are willing to provide in-house training, and this is a great opportunity to gain experience and expand into a sterile compounding environment. Working with the pharmacy’s compounding, intake and specialty teams in one of our largest infusion pharmacy locations, you will contribute to the provision of a multitude of high complexity specialty medications to our homecare patients.

Job Responsibilities
- Screen/triage Medical Referrals and ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
- Respond to telephone inquiries from patients/caregivers, care coordinators, nursing providers and clinicians
- Determine method of infusion and order the necessary infusion supplies and equipment
- Assist the pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions and with finding the IV mixture stability/ compatibility information
- Input IV orders in Kroll and maintain patient records and drug information
- Manage ODB electronic billing and manual claims
- Coordinate the delivery schedule with dispatch
- Program IV pumps for specific therapies and assist nurses in troubleshooting pump issues
- Test pumps for accuracy and manage pump returns
- Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products prepared for release
- Complete the final check of prepared prescriptions
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice of a Registered Pharmacy Technician
Qualifications
- Accreditation as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing and adherence to the Standards of Practice with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Competency in prioritizing and multitasking in a busy environment
- Candidates must demonstrate sound judgment, computer literacy, time management skills, and initiative
- Experience with the KROLL system is an asset
