Position:
We are looking for an enthusiastic part-time Designated Manager Pharmacist to drive the business at our location in Toronto Pearson Airport.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
● Meet all requirements as a Designated Manager with OCP
● Dispense 3 days per week
● Consistently create a welcoming environment for all staff and customers
● Demonstrate outstanding sales ability, leadership capabilities, bringing plenty of energy, enthusiasm, passion and strong communication skills
● Consult with patients to maximize Rx and OTC sales
● Provide professional advice and applicable dialogue with patients on prescription and OTC products to provide excellent customer service and maximize patient loyalty
● Handle difficult and/or complicated sales and follows up with customers as needed
● Verify prescriptions details with the prescriber when required
● Document and follow-up on medication incidents and promote safe medication practices
● Proactively follow up with irregularities with scripts processed at the pharmacy
● Maintain an approved drug and controlled substance list and verify expiry dates
● Ensure Rx and OTC inventory levels are appropriate and control costs and expenses
● Regularly communicate with Senior Leadership to discuss strengths, opportunities, and trends in the business
● Root cause analysis for discrepancies or issues within the dispensary
● Conduct Medication Reviews for clients
● Responsible for controlling inventory stock levels and reordering as necessary
● Implement proper pricing and receiving procedures to minimize shrinkage in such areas as damaged goods, returns, internal and external theft
● Ensure company standard operating procedures, policies, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed
● Be aware of any in store events and support these events within the store, directing, and referring clients to programs
Qualifications:
● 1-3 years’ experience as a Pharmacist
● Pharmacy license to practice in the province of Ontario
● Ability to achieve results with a strong sense of urgency and a "can-do" attitude
● Experience in retail pharmaceutical systems and dispensing procedures (Fillware)
● Advanced knowledge of protocols regarding the safe storage of prescriptions drugs
● Strong customer/patient satisfaction orientation
● Strong problem solving and analytical skills
● Excellent communication and organizational skills
● Additional certifications: Minor Ailments & Compression Stockings (Can be trained if not certified)
● Detail oriented
