Salary: £48,526 - £54,619 per annum/pro rata

Contract: Full time - 37.5 hours per week (part time working requests will be considered).
This is a new and exciting position created as a recognition of the benefit of specialist pharmacists to patient care.
The specialist pharmacist will provide highly specialist and advanced clinical and professional pharmaceutical services to virtual ward patients under the care of Medway Maritime Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to promote the optimised, safe and cost-effective use of medicines.
We as a team are keen to focus on continuous improvement of our services for the benefit of our patients and welcome new ideas and opportunities.
You will be a core member of the Trust’s respected and expanding SMART team who oversee virtual wards, providing professional pharmaceutical governance, medicines safety, medicines information, medicines finance, education and training and medicines optimisation support to the team.
You will build relationships and work with internal stakeholders and external partners to support the delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care to patients.
