Pharmacy Technician -Pre-Registration/Annex21 Trainee for 2 years 70% of the top of the Band 4 Salary Point.
Any candidate who does not hold a National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences will be a considered as a trainee Annex 21 and as such will be paid a percentage of the top of the band.
We are seeking a dedicated and hard-working Pharmacy Technician who is registered with the General Pharmaceutical or a candidate who can be appointed as a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician with the ability to work towards becoming a registered Pharmacy Technician. The Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician requires to demonstrate commitment to the two year Training Programme and possess SQA National 5 Awards in English ,Maths ,Chemistry and biology or equivalent
The Pharmacy Technician/ Pre Registration Pharmacy Technician will be required to provide pharmaceutical technical services within all sections of the pharmacy department to patients attending or admitted to the hospital. To ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely supply of discharge/outpatient prescriptions, pharmaceutical stock, and non-stock supplies to wards and departments.
It is a mandatory requirement that the candidate has Continuing Professional Development as detailed by the General Pharmaceutical Council as well as experience in dispensing discharge / OPD / in-patient prescriptions as well as experience in providing a ward/department stock top-up and an understanding of hospital pharmacy services. They should have excellent computer skills/keyboard skills, good communication skills both verbal and written, an ability to organise and prioritise work in addition to being a team player and willing to participate in weekend and public holiday staff rota.
