National Medicines Value Lead Pharmacist

The newly established Medicines Value Unit part of NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) is seeking to recruit an experienced and innovating pharmacist to lead the unit’s clinical programme.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of leading clinical change within a range of specialities to improve efficiency and patient experience. Their knowledge and understanding of market access for new medicines into the NHS in Wales will be invaluable in supporting the priorities for the programme. Their ability and experience of engagement with clinical leaders and other key stakeholders to resolve complex and competing pressures will be vital to succeed in leading this complex multifaceted programme. Equally the role will provide an exciting and fast-paced environment with excellent support from both pharmacy and procurement specialists associated with the medicines value unit.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
