Are you a Licensed Pharmacist with a keen interest in supporting pharmacy service delivery in a non-patient facing / non-retail setting? We are supporting a client pharmacy in Mississauga with their search for an in-dispensary Floater Pharmacist who will join a well-established (and fully staffed) pharmacy team and will focus on the triage, appropriateness and verification of prescriptions. As this is a floater role, shift times are Sunday to Thursday 10pm-6am but require flexibility, as you may be scheduled for 12-hour shifts 7 days a week, with the following 7 days off (you are welcome to advise us as to your availability and we can discuss with our client). Depending on business needs, you may need to get licensed outside of Ontario, and also be open to travel between sites, with accommodations such as flights, food, and transportation expensed. In the event of any overtime, it is paid in accordance with provincial employment standard's regulations. Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with College of Pharmacy requirements when delivering pharmacy service
- Ensuring patient care and safety while completing all typical duties of a Pharmacist
- Supporting operations which may include staff supervision, inventory management support, dispensing duties and other tasks to optimize service opportunities
- Other duties as required to support patient care and safety
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist in ON and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacy
- A minimum of one year's experience in a high-volume non-retail pharmacy setting (LTC, central fill, online pharmacy, specialty pharmacy) is required
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills
- Excellent understanding of process and the ability to collaborate effectively
