We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving patient safety for our Online Doctor and NHS services by leading the clinical governance initiatives within our organisation.
Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the safe, efficient, and evidence-based provision of pharmaceutical care to our patients.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical governance policies, procedures, and practices to support patient safety and service quality.
- Providing expert advice to patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Reviewing and optimising patients' medication regimens to ensure appropriate and safe use of medicines.
- Identifying, assessing, and managing medication-related risks and incidents.
- Participating in regular audits and quality improvement initiatives to monitor and enhance the effectiveness of our services.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement innovative solutions to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Delivering education and training to staff and patients to promote a culture of clinical excellence and patient safety.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, regulatory frameworks and best practices in online pharmacy healthcare; and in turn reviewing and updating content/assessments.
- Contributing to the growth and development of online pharmacy by liaising with regulatory bodies and other online pharmacy organisations.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Pharmacy and registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Experience in a clinical pharmacy role, with previous online pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
- Sound knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety principles, and medication management best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to analyse complex information and make evidence-based decisions.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with industry trends and guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in using digital platforms and other pharmacy-related software.
- Flexibility to work remotely or in an office-based setting, including working as a pharmacist in other areas of the pharmacy business if needed.
