We have an excellent opportunity for a part time clinical pharmacist to join our South network mental health pharmacy team. You will work in a small team based in the in-patient and home treatment team units with no dispensary or out of hours commitment providing the perfect opportunity for you to develop your clinical skills and broaden your mental health knowledge and experience.
To provide, manage, organise and develop the clinical pharmacy service to the South network of Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust to cover for gaps in senior leadership
To ensure that the clinical pharmacy service provided meets with the national standards for the delivery of the pharmaceutical services to mental health.
To ensure that all developments required for the pharmacy service are implemented and learning spread trust wide
To ensure that pharmacy services work within agreed guidelines to ensure effective medicines management
To ensure the delivery of effective medicines management in conjunction with medical and nursing staff.
To ensure the implementation of all Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust policies and procedures that impact on medicines management and pharmaceutical care.
To work in close liaison with other pharmacists and technical staff providing a pharmacy service to Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust under Service Level Agreement (SLA), to ensure the delivery and supply of medication to the mental health wards, departments and units.
To work with the Chief Pharmacist to ensure that there is liaison with the Service Directors and/ or medical manager about medicines management issues, as necessary.
To provide cover for other pharmacists providing a service to and employed by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, as requested.
You will be supported by a lively clinical pharmacy team who are dedicated to delivering excellent services. You will receive clinical and and management supervision and have opportunities to develop yourself and the role through education, training, team meetings and opportunities such as Quality Improvement and audit. You will be supported to undertake further qualifications as needed such as non medical prescribing. The role is entirely clinical with no dispensary, out of hours or on call commitment
