The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) is a 2,000-bed acute tertiary psychiatric hospital. We offer a comprehensive range of psychiatric, rehabilitative and counselling services for children, adolescents, adults and the elderly.
Pharmacists in IMH learn and work in cohesive inpatient and outpatient settings with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) consisting of Psychiatrists and other doctors, Nurses, Medical Social Workers, Case Managers, and other Allied Health Professionals.
The Challenges
You Shall Provide Collaborative, Professional And Patient-centered Clinical Services
(i) Prepare for and participate in MDT rounds to review patients’ clinical status and treatment needs holistically, address drug queries and supply issues, identify and manage drug-related problems, e.g. optimize drug therapy and monitoring.
(ii) Listen to, engage, and empower patients and caregivers with needful medication counselling and disease management advice.
(iii) Continuously develop oneself professionally and likewise nurture other learners through effective teaching, testing, coaching and reflections.
(iv) Lead a team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants in the provision of safe and high quality pharmaceutical care services, education, quality improvement projects, and clinically-relevant research.
The Requirements
- Degree in Pharmacy that is registrable in Singapore
- Pharmacists with hospital working experience are preferred (Pre-Registration Pharmacists are welcome to apply).
Remuneration will commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
