We are a forward thinking and innovative team and due to the continued success of our pharmacy teams at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust we currently have exciting opportunities for you to join the trust and become a Pharmacy Support Assistant based at St Ann's Hospital in Poole. Your job role will require you to help support eleven in patient wards as well as various out-patient services across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

As a Band 2 Pharmacy Support Assistant you will either hold an NVQ 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services or be willing to work towards the qualification. If the NVQ 2 is not already held then full support and training will be provided, an educational supervisor will be assigned to you to support you throughout the NVQ programme. You will be expected to study in your own time as well as at work, so you will need to be dynamic and self-motivated with a passion to learn.

Experience in community or hospital pharmacy would be desirable however previous experience in pharmacy is not necessary as full training and support will be provided.

You need to be a good team player who is self-motivated, enthusiastic and with excellent communication skills, you should be confident and capable of working on your own on in-patient wards as well as working with colleagues within the Pharmacy Department.

This post is available as 30 hours per week, part-time/job share/ flexible working.
