We are very excited to be looking for a Digital Lead Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Leadership Team.
The Digital Lead Pharmacist will be responsible for developing and implementing the digital medicines strategy starting with electronic prescribing and medicines administration .
You will lead the digital pharmacy team working closely with the health informatics service developing and embedding systems, policies, procedures and training relating to the digital agenda and the way medicines are prescribed and administered.
To lead the development of the digital medicines strategy
To lead on implementation and roll out of digital improvements such as EPMA across the Trust, ensuring the delivery of a safe and effective system of working
To develop policy and procedure to ensure safe digital medicines practices are embedded within the organisation, ensuring clinical risks are identified, recorded and managed appropriately
To act as clinical champion for EPMA and other digital projects, engaging clinical and administrative stakeholders.
To be responsible for developing and delivering training programmes to relevant staff.
To advise on continuing professional development (CPD) and staff performance
To work with the systems suppliers to ensure EPMA and other digital projects functionality meets Department of Health requirements for clinical safety, and is updated as necessary to meet new specifications
To deliver a clinical pharmacy service and medicines management support to a Borough to maintain clinical skill and competency
The pharmacy team is a purely clinical team based at sites across the whole of the Pennine Care footprint. The team includes pharmacists and technicians embedded in all services such in-patients, community teams and home treatment teams and leads for specialist areas and networks.
As a member of the team you will be encouraged to develop the service and yourself and have opportunity for further education and research. You will be provided with regular supervision and CPD opportunities and will in turn lead the development of the digital pharmacy service. In your lead role you will be a key member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team.
