This rotational role is the perfect opportunity for a pharmacist who may be starting their career, those who might want to return to work from a career break or those considering a transition into hospital pharmacy from the retail, primary care or industry sector.

Our junior pharmacist rotation allows you to develop and improve both your clinical & technical skills whilst enhancing your communication and influencing skills.

The rotation includes training in Medicines Information, General Surgery, General Medicine, Elderly Care and Aseptics services. In addition, you will have exposure to both inpatient and outpatient dispensaries, giving you the chance to understand the similarities and differences in processes and objectives.

We have a great support network for our junior pharmacists both within the pharmacy team and across the Trust.

We are willing to support further professional development of the successful applicant through a postgraduate diploma.

We are looking for pharmacists with ideas and enthusiasm as the department responds to the challenges of the Medicines Optimisation quality standards, CQC inspections and the roll out of pharmacy standards.

The pharmacy department at HHFT has recently received significant investment in the form of a new build, with robotics installed.
