Primary Production Operatives / Machine Operatives

Our client is an innovative technology-led company focused on producing medical diagnostic testing kits. They develop, manufacture and distribute a range of rapid testing products in the medical areas of haematology and oncology.

Due to the company going through an exciting period of growth, they are looking to employ a number of Primary Production Operative / Machine Operatives to join their friendly team.

Hours, Salary & Benefits package:

- 8:00am - 4:00pm Mon to Thurs, 8:00am - 1:00pm Fridays
- 37.5 hour week, paid lunch
- Full time, permanent contract

What is the day to day?

- Manufacture a wide range of lateral flow devices (intricate, dexterous work) - in a controlled production line environment.
- Involvement in transfer from development to production of new tests.
- Responsibilities for signing off on quality checks.
- Maintain good control of stock levels (regular stock counts etc.)
- Assisting with planning for the manufacturing of products.
- As required, carry out COSHH assessments on products.
- Assisting other production teams during busy periods.
- Operating industry specific machines to aid in the manufacturing processes.
- Take part in and assist in training and development.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

- Knowledge of a controlled FMCG production environment (e.g. food, medical, pharma, etc.)
- Awareness of COSHH.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to learn/be trained on machinery.
- Innovative
- Health and Safety awareness.
- A very high attention to detail.
- Good hand eye coordination.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Due to location your own transport is essential.
