YOUR ROLE
Our Pharma/Healthcare Road Logistics team are customer-centric, working hard to delight our customers every day. Our Customer Service Apprenticeship is a 24 month programme, combining practical on-the-job training with study towards the Customer Service qualification. The main role is to work within the Road logistics healthcare operational team who are handling road freight shipments for Pharmaceutical and Healthcare customers, ensuring all necessary operational duties and functions are in accordance with specific working instructions and customer SOPs.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understanding of Road Freight operation for industry related questions / requirements (point of escalation)
- Any other duties as required, either written or verbally, by the either supervisors or managers deemed to be within the capability of the post holder
- Support the induction and training of internal staff, ensuring the correct procedures are followed
- To fully understand the customers' needs and the profile of the business in order to collaborate with planning to provide effective solutions for set lanes.
- To gain feedback on quoted set lanes and capture the information.
- To ensure that customs information is inputted into the system correctly and as soon as all the relevant documentation is available it is all uploaded to the correct places at the same time
- Complete all relevant GDP training, and ensure ongoing compliance
- Heavily customer focused and will require constant communication with a variety of key contacts through various forms of communication methods.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Five GCSEs at grades 4 - 9 / A*-C (including Maths & English)
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
