We have an exciting opportunity for a senior technician with an interest in Clinical Trials.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated with excellent communication skills and the ability to organise and plan their work. You must be a team player and able to work with a variety of healthcare professionals.
- To support the Pharmacy Clinical Trials service to conduct clinical trials in line with national and international regulatory standards
- To support the role of Lead Clinical Trial Pharmacist at BUCKINGHAMSHIRE Healthcare NHS Trust in delivering Clinical Trial service to various Trust hospitals and deputise in their absence.
- To lead the Clinical Trial technical team in the provisions of managing the day to day operations across multiple sites.
- To effectively communicate to various internal and external stakeholders at an advanced level
- To actively engage with Pharmacy senior team in order to develop departmental priorities, planning and implementation.
- To provide advice on pharmaceutical aspects of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) to departmental colleagues and Trust stakeholders.
- To design, adopt and provide clinical trial specific training to members of the pharmacy team.
- To dispense and manage clinical trial Investigational Medicinal Products
- To assist the Cancer and Aseptic Production services on running clinical trials effectively
- To liaise and work closely with other research teams such as research nurses and Principle Investigators who works as part of Trust’s Research and Innovation department.
- To attend multilevel strategic and operational meetings lead by Research and Innovation Department and communicate effectively on operational matters.
- To support the Lead Clinical Trial Pharmacist by contributing to achieving departmental goals and wider objectives
