This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cancer and Surgery Pharmacy Leadership team, working as an expert at Consultant Pharmacist level for myeloid neoplasms.

Myeloid Neoplasms are a rapidly expanding area of clinical practice within malignant haematology. Under the leadership of the Guy’s International Centre of Excellence in Myeloid Disorders we have collaboratively defined a post for an experienced clinical pharmacist to drive professional development, research and education in harmony with consultants, researchers and nursing colleagues.

The post will also hold a role within Guys Cancer Academy in a senior role within the Education Faculty for the Cancer and Surgery Clinical Group, to provide leadership, ensuring that Healthcare Professionals involved in Cancer services are educated and trained to the highest standards to will support them in meeting the quality standards required for their respective professional groups.

The successful post holder will work closely with key stakeholders within Pharmacy & Medicines Optimisation Directorate, Cancer & Surgery Clinical Group, the Consultant Pharmacist Delivery Unit and Guys Cancer Academy to develop a portfolio of research, training and expertise to support the organisation, as a national leader in this exciting, rapidly evolving field.

As a Consultant Pharmacist, you will lead on delivering and improving the services for Myeloid neoplasms, in relation to medicines and pharmacy practice.

You will support andprovideleadership around Myeloid neoplasms and advice on safe use of medication, providing expert opinion and consultancy support where appropriate.

You will work with the Pharmacy team, the Cancer & Surgery DMT and Guys Cancer Academy to support the priorities relating to Myeloid neoplasms, in addition to ensuring safe and effective use of medicines for the Directorate and across community services.

It is expected that you will maintain a level of clinical practice in your area of specialty.
