To manage all aspects of education and training for pharmacy at HWP, acting as the Accountable Officer for Pharmacy Education within the HEE network.
In addition, the postholder will maintain and develop links with other academic providers, including Cardifff University, Reading University and Southampton Medical School
The postholder is responsible for the education and training of 12 clinical diploma pharmacists, 5 pre-registration pharmacists and 8 pre-registration pharmacy technicians at Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals, all fixed term training contracts.
To be responsible for the promotion, delivery and development of education and training for pharmacy in the Trust
To manage all education and training functions within pharmacy services at the Wexham Park and Heatherwood sites, including line management of clinical diploma pharmacists and the Lead Education & Training Pharmacists and Technician.
To liaise with the Principal Pharmacist Education & Training, Frimley Park to ensure there is a consistent approach to training and development across the two departments.
To act as the Accountable Officer for Pharmacy Education for HWP within the HEE network.
To act as the lead tutor at HWP for the post graduate clinical diploma (currently Cardiff University)
To manage the education and training budget for pharmacy HWP, and ensure equitable access for all staff to relevant training opportunities.
